Manolis Koutsodontis
Manolis Koutsodontis leads as the Director of Studies at the Koutsodontis Study Center, and yes, he has been doing this for quite a while. With a background in Mathematics from the University of Athens and postgraduate studies at King’s College London, he has been working on test preparation programs since 1998. That is a lot of exam seasons. The experience clearly shows in the results, with many of his students ending up in the top 5% globally.
Polixeni Stavrou
Some parts of exam prep can feel confusing, and that’s exactly where the right teacher helps. Studied English Language Studies with Linguistics at the University of Brighton and later completed postgraduate studies at the University of Sussex. After 15 years of living and teaching in England, along with international training experience, she has worked with many different students. - What is the Digital SAT?
The Digital SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is basically a test that checks how well you can use what you already know. It’s not just about memorizing things. It looks at how you understand ideas and apply them, especially in ways you’ll need later in college or even at work. The exam is created by the College Board, it’s in English, and it includes multiple choice questions based on reading and math.
- What is the structure of the SAT exam?
The SAT is actually quite simple in structure. Just two sections, nothing hidden.
Reading and Writing
64 minutes focused on how well you understand and work with written text.
Math
70 minutes covering algebra, advanced math, problem-solving, data, geometry, and trigonometry. Some questions feel quick, some take a bit longer, that’s normal.
- Digital SAT: What does the Math section focus on?
At first, the math section can feel a bit random. Then you realize it’s actually very structured.
Algebra
Equations, linear systems, the kind of math you’ve seen before, just a bit sharper here.
Advanced Math
Functions, polynomials, longer questions. Sometimes you pause for a second, and that’s fine.
Problem-Solving and Data Analysis
Graphs, percentages, ratios. It’s more about understanding what the numbers mean than just calculating.
Geometry and Trigonometry
Shapes, angles, formulas. Area, volume, basic trig, all in one place.
- Is the Digital SAT adaptive?
Yes, and it quietly adjusts while you’re taking it. Each section has two parts. After the first one, the second changes depending on how you did. If things go well, the questions get a bit more challenging (nothing dramatic, just enough to test you better).
- For how long are the SAT scores valid?
SAT scores for university admission do not expire. Yes, they are valid for a lifetime.
- What is the cost of the SAT exam?
The SAT exam costs 110€.
- How often and where are the SAT exams held?
The SAT exams are conducted multiple times a year. The dates are mostly the same worldwide which helps you in planning. For your seat or center availability, it’s always best to check the College Board website or ask an advisor.
- What is the SAT scoring scale?
- The total score ranges from 400 to 1600.
- Reading and Writing gives you 200 to 800.
- Math gives you 200 to 800.
They get added together, simple as that.
- How long does the SAT test last?
The test runs for 2 hours and 14 minutes. Long enough to feel it, but not endless.
- When will I receive my SAT test results?
You’ll get your results online about two weeks after the exam. Not instant, but not too long either.
- How can I prepare for the SAT exam?
SAT prep can feel a bit messy in the beginning. There’s a lot out there, and not all of it helps.

- When and how do I take SAT simulation tests?

- What knowledge do I need to attend SAT classes?
