Polixeni Stavrou

Having pursued English Language Studies with Linguistics at the University of Brighton for her undergraduate degree, followed by a postgraduate course at the University of Sussex, she has continually enhanced her academic journey. Engaging in internationally recognized training programs, she has honed her teaching prowess, particularly in the realm of the verbal reasoning section.   • What is the UCAT?

The UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test) is an aptitude test for programs in Medicine and Dentistry in the United Kingdom.

  • What does the UCAT consist of?

The UCAT consists of 5 sections, each with its own separate time and 228 multiple-choice questions:

Verbal Reasoning, Decision Making, Quantitative Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Situational Judgement

  • How long does the UCAT exam last?

The test duration is 2 hours.

  • How long are UCAT results valid?

UCAT results are only valid for the next admissions cycle. There is also an option to defer entry for the following year.

  • What are the UCAT fees?

The fees are £115 for candidates taking the UCAT outside the UK and £70 for those taking it within the UK.

  • When and where are UCAT exams held?

Exams are held from July to September. Candidates are allowed to take the test only once per year.
