Manolis Koutsodontis
Leading as the Director of Studies at Koutsodontis Study Center, he showcases extensive experience and expertise in the field of education. With a background in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and postgraduate studies completed at King's College London, he has honed his skills in teaching and refining test preparation programs since 1998. Christos Michailidis
After obtaining his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Genetics from the University of Leeds and completing postgraduate studies in Molecular Genetics at the University of Leicester, Christos pursued a distinguished career as a postdoctoral researcher for 17 years at institutions such as Charles University, the University of Nicosia, and the Agricultural University of Athens. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Molecular Biology at the Agricultural University of Athens, he also supervises graduate theses for students in Greece and the Czech Republic.

Antonis Mitsopoulos
With a passion for physics, our accomplished educator graduated from Kapodistrian University's Physics Department before pursuing postgraduate studies in Theoretical Physics at King's College London. Frequently Asked Questions about IMAT
- What is the IMAT?
The IMAT (International Medical Admissions Test) is the official examination for the admission of candidates to the English-speaking medical and dental schools of Italy.
- What knowledge do I need to have to attend classes?
You need to be a High school graduate and have a good knowledge of English (at least a B2 level).
- What is the structure of the IMAT exam?
The IMAT is a paper based test and consists of a total of 60 multiple choice questions divided into four sections. All questions have five options, of which only one is correct.
-Section 1: 4 questions Reading skills and knowledge
-Section 2: 5 questions Logical reasoning and problem-solving
-Section 3: 23 questions Biology
-Section 4: 15 questions Chemistry
-Section 5: 13 questions Physics and Mathematics
- How long does the IMAT test last and how is it scored?
A candidate’s total score is calculated using the following formula:
- 1.5 points for each correct answer
- -0.4 points for each incorrect answer
- 0 points for each unanswered question
The test is graded with a total score (maximum 90) , along with a score for each Module (Logical Reasoning, General Knowledge, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics) . Whoever has the highest overall grade is admitted until the positions of the universities are filled.
- What is the process for registering for the exam?
The process is done exclusively online through Universitaly.it. During the application, in addition to enrolling in the exams, you select the medical schools of Italy that you want to apply for. You can choose to apply to as many programs as you want.
