Germany offers a vibrant and dynamic way of life to its students. The country’s universities are world-renowned and offer countless courses for a student to choose from, as well as a large number of English-speaking programs that promise high potential for future job opportunities.

2. The educational system of the country

Undergraduate studies in Germany last 3-4 years. Applications must be made by July 15 for the winter semester beginning October 1 and by January 15 for the spring semester beginning April 1. Also, students can choose only from the departments of study related to the direction they had chosen in their Greek school. Postgraduate courses in Germany last 1-2 years and there is not an application deadline. Applications are usually made by the end of May or the beginning of June.

3. Tuition fees and accommodation costs in Germany

Public universities in Germany are usually free for either undergraduate or postgraduate study. Students living and studying in Germany spend around € 700 to € 1,100 per month. It definitely depends on the city of residence.

4. Admission requirements to German universities

Each German University sets its own admission requirements for its programs. Basic conditions for an undergraduate program are the High School Diploma with Panhellenic exams (general degree of access in compulsory above the base 10.00), Certification of the German language (B2 at least), Letter of recommendation from a teacher and Personal statement. Basic requirements for a master’s degree in Germany are Bachelor’s Degree and an official transcript of grades (Authentic and Certified translations), Certification of the language of the study program, Letters of recommendation from teachers or employers, Personal statement and CV.
