With a passion for physics, our accomplished educator graduated from Kapodistrian University's Physics Department before pursuing postgraduate studies in Theoretical Physics at King's College London. Returning to Kapodistrian University, he obtained a second Master's degree in Astrophysics - Astronomy - Engineering and excelled in their Ph.D. in Mathematical Physics. His academic prowess is evident through over 10 scientific publications in esteemed journals. For the past 12 years, he has been dedicated to teaching, imparting his knowledge and expertise to students with enthusiasm and commitment.
Amalia Stavrou
Having studied English Literature at University of Connecticut and earned a Master's in Education with a focus on TESOL Instruction and Curriculum from Post University, she brings over 20 years of teaching experience across U.S.A and Greece. She has attended training programs on teaching methods, classroom management strategies, and analytic teaching approaches such as Cross-Enforcement TESOL. - What is the GRE test?
The GRE test is an aptitude test that examines the candidate’s verbal, quantitative, logical and analytical skills.
- Where is the GRE test needed?
The GRE (Graduate Record Examinations) is required for post-graduate and doctoral studies, mainly science or theoretical studies (MSc, MA, PhD), but also for studies in Business Administration, Management, etc. (MBA, Msc).
- What is the structure of the test?
The test consists of 3 sections: Analytical Writing, Quantitative & Verbal reasoning.
The Analytical Writing section has a duration of 1 hour and consists of two reports. It measures the candidate’s ability to clearly and effectively articulate complex ideas, support their ideas with relevant reasoning and examples, maintain a structured argument and express themselves in written English.
The Quantitative reasoning lasts 70 minutes and consists of 2 sections of 20 questions which measure the candidate’s ability to understand quantitative information, solve problems using mathematical models, apply basic mathematical skills and basic mathematical concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, probability , statistics and data interpretation.
The Verbal reasoning has a duration of 60 minutes and consists of 2 sections of 20 questions which measure the candidate’s ability to analyze and evaluate a written text, but also to synthesize the information he gets from the text and to analyze the relationships between the various parts of text sentences and understand the meaning of words, text sentences and the relationship between words and concepts.
- How is the GRE test conducted?
The GRE exam is done via computer and has the particularity that the Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning parts are adaptive per section. This means that they adapt to the candidate’s level during the examination.
- For how long are the GRE scores valid?
The results of the GRE for admission to a university are valid for 5 years.
- How often are the GRE exams held?
GRE exams are held approximately two to three times a week at the test center and almost daily at GRE Home Edition.
- What should my knowledge background be in order to attend the preparation?
You need to be a high school graduate and have at least a B2 level of English proficiency.
- Are simulation tests included in the preparation? For how long will I have access to them?
We have developed computer adaptive simulation software with more than 800 practice questions, exclusively for our students. The tests offer a great prediction of the final GRE score. You can take the GRE simulation tests at our center or at your place. You have access to the simulation tests even after completing the courses.
